History

The origins of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts can be traced down to its origins as a business association, founded in 1925 during the inter-war period. Today, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts in Lithuania not only unites several thousand organisations in the country’s regions, but also has branches and representative offices (in Jonava, Kėdainiai, Marijampolė, Kaišiadorys, Prienai, Raseiniai, Šakiai, Vilkaviškis, Telšiai, Utena, Anykščiai, Biržai). The organisation currently organises the examination of around 90% of the country’s vocational schools’ staff, offering attestations for certain professions. The ALCCIC proactively reacts to the country’s economic, financial and social development and seeks to constructively form a favourable environment for business development, exports, investment and public welfare.
